Released in 2006 by Slovenia’s On Parole Productions, New Order Volume 2 is more than a compilation — it’s a declaration from the Eastern and Southern European underground metal scene. Following the strong response to Volume 1, this follow-up expands its reach, featuring 17 bands from Slovenia, Austria, Serbia, Bosnia, and Macedonia. The result is a sprawling, genre-crossing collection that captures the pulse of the underground in all its diversity.
This is a true cross-border DIY project: no industry gloss, no trendy production — just honest metal crafted by passionate musicians in rehearsal rooms, basements, and garages across the Balkans and Central Europe.
The compilation features:
⛧ Grindcore fury from Dickless Tracy
⛧ Progressive and melodic journeys from bands like Rain Delay and Eventide
⛧ Blackened rawness from Bleeding Fist and Zvier
⛧ Death and doom heaviness from Mortifera, Forgotten Eden, and Amon Din
⛧ Thrash and crossover energy from Sarcasm, Toxicdeath, and more
Standout tracks like “Promised for Eternity,” “Invoke the Warrior,” and “Contaminated Hate” offer crushing riffs and unpolished energy — the kind of sound that defines underground metal. There’s also variety in language and atmosphere, from English lyrics to Slovenian and Serbian spoken word moments, giving the whole album a uniquely local feel despite its international reach.
New Order Volume 2 is for the true underground metal collector — someone who digs past trends to find the real energy where it’s still raw, dangerous, and alive.
